Your first visit will last approximately 90 minutes. Once you have booked your first appointment, you will be sent a new patient intake form. We will review your comprehensive patient history and a concern-oriented physical assessment will be done. Please bring a list of all current medications and supplements with you, along with any recent bloodwork and/or diagnostic imaging results. Some treatment recommendations are made during the initial visit, followed by a comprehensive and customized plan.
Naturopathic medicine is all about individualized treatment. Every patient is different. Some patients may benefit from weekly acupuncture sessions, while others may benefit from more occasional visits. Dr. Restagno ND will give you an estimate of the visit frequency in the first appointment.
Naturopathic doctors are not covered by OHIP in the province of Ontario. However, most extended health benefits packages cover visits to licensed Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) up to a certain amount per family member per year. Consult your benefits package for details.
Dr. Restagno ND is registered with Telus Health, enabling direct submission for select insurance providers like Manulife, Sunlife, Great West Life and others. Please bring your insurance information to your visit if you would like for us to direct bill.
